About Chuck...
My artwork is a visual response to what I see, feel, and imagine. I explore the physical characteristics of an individual with elements of their inner self bleeding through the forefront. The outcome is a realistic approach to the form, surrounded by an abstraction of colors.
My inspiration comes from dreams, memories, and people watching. I am fascinated with the human figure and its correlation to emotion. Taking a single moment in time and abstracting the feeling that comes with it. I want the viewer to experience what he or she cannot physically see; to be able to feel the pain in one’s eyes without seeing the teardrops.
My medium and technique evolve with the times. I am constantly experimenting to create the perfect cohesive composition. Without the boundaries of having one distinct style, I allow myself to make progress and know there is always room for improvement.
